Suppliers to Felleskjøpet Agri must commit to ensuring social responsibility in deliveries through systematic work throughout the value chain. This involves a strong focus on the environment, long-term economic growth, and social development.
The Transparency Act came into force on July 1, 2022. The law aims to promote businesses' respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and delivery of services. In addition to requiring due diligence assessments, the law ensures public access to information on how businesses handle negative impacts on fundamental human rights and decent working conditions. An annual statement of the due diligence assessments must be published no later than June 30 for the previous year.
Close follow-up of suppliers through procurement processes and due diligence/risk assessments is important in promoting respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in our supply chain.
Felleskjøpet Agri SA (Felleskjøpet) as a group is aware that there are risk areas in the value chain where irregularities may occur. Therefore, we have worked for many years on risk mapping and supplier evaluation to continuously improve, a work that was strengthened in 2014 through membership in Ethical Trade Norway. Felleskjøpet's subsidiaries, purchasing teams, and collaborating teams are an important part of this work. The OECD's guide for due diligence for responsible business conduct is also used as a basis.
Dialogue and cooperation with our suppliers are one of our most important priorities in ensuring a more responsible supply chain, as it is the suppliers who are our link to the rest of the value chain. For Felleskjøpet to succeed in creating societal solutions for the future, we need our systems to be optimized and the content updated. Data-driven supplier insights provide a better basis for ensuring safe and good suppliers.
We have zero tolerance for all forms of corruption. We will follow applicable legislation related to anti-corruption and actively work to ensure that this does not occur in our business activities. We see many advantages in competition, and we will always compete in a fair and ethically responsible manner, both in relation to competitors, customers, and suppliers.
